Vikash Maharaj
Pandit Vikash Maharaj is a Hindustani musician known for his performances on the Sarod. He is son of great Tabla player Pandit Nanhku Maharaj and nephew of Pandit Kishan Maharaj. He started his early education from Pandit Rajesh Chandra Moitra, a disciple of Ustad Baba Allauddin Khan Saheb and Pandit Ashok Moitra from Khulna "Bangladesh". Pandit Vikash Maharaj is performing since twenty three years around the world. He is credited as the first Sarod performer to perform in the Parliament of New Zealand and also was honored as Professor and Cultural Ambassador from Indo-German Society, Germany (1995–1996).
